This is not an instruction book and never did it say it was. This is a book showing 12 different designs that you can make yourself with the right knowledge of jewelry making. The title page says that it includes 13 instructions but I only count 12 which includes 9 bracelets, 2 earrings, and 1 necklace.Let's compare this book to a cookbook. A cookbook will give you an ingredient list and tell you how to use those ingredients to make the beautiful picture of the food that makes your mouth water. This book does the same. First, there are beautiful pictures that will entice you to try making that jewelry piece. (Picture is a screenshot of one of the necklaces) It tells you what "ingredients" are needed and of course they tell you that you can buy it at primabead.com. But if a supermarket cookbook told you to use "Great Value (walmart) milk" I think you would be smart enough to realize you can buy milk anywhere if it is cheaper. Same principle here. Of course they provide this book so you buy tools, beads, and wires from them but it doesn't mean you have to. This book even goes as far as to tell you tools you need beforehand and what jewelry making techniques you should know how to do before attempting that piece. A quick YouTube search yields a video for all of the techniques I searched. So follow these instructions and enjoy having all of the patterns together in one place.
I personally loved the look of all of these pieces of jewelry. There was a mixture of beadwork, wire, and chains. There was 1 matching set of a bracelet and earring but the other pieces were unmatched.

Hard to read book ,pictures are good but does not sit on kindle well. Detail was hard to distinguish,therefore unless you were real experienced this book would be useless. Luckily I am but looking for easy to understand so I can teach my granddaughter and use as a visual aid
I opened it on my app on my tablet and the words were squished together so I couldn't read it. I tried to open it on my PC with the reader and it says it's not supported. Good thing I received it free so I'm not out any money.
I've been looking to learn how to make beaded jewelry for awhile now and I was utterly confused about everything when it came to what to do to make a jewelry. This book has helped me tremendously, The book goes from what beads to get, the price and how to make the jewelry that's something I haven't seen in a book before. The instructions on how to make the stuff was very easy to understand, and to the point. There wasn't anything that was left out. The jewelry in the book is exceptionally gorgeous as well. This book is a must have for beginners and advanced alike!

Given that it was free, this booklet makes a nice addition to an experienced beginner's library. You won't learn anything new here, but the designs are versatile and attractive. Primarily, this is an ad for Prima's online store; there are handy links to each component provided directly to the shop in case you want to duplicate what you see. This can be accomplished if you already know the techniques involved, since there are no patterns, just a short list of instructions provided (and not always even that; the beaded kumi bracelet tells you to refer to the instructions included with the disk, something unlikely to help with beaded kumihimo). Still, the pieces are nice enough, and it doesn't cost a thing to take a look.
This book is not for beginners trying to get into jewelry making. The instructions are not detailed enough. This is definitely a marketing tool and in all honesty, all of this information is supplied online for FREE. LINE FOR LINE. So thank goodness I got this for free or else I would ask for a refund.
This is a great idea booklet, with the lists of the supplies needed to complete the project, but this is definitely not a beginners booklet. There are no step-by-step directions, no setting up, etc, as I was hoping for/expecting. The pictures are beautiful of the finished projects. I just wish there was more instruction into how to get "there" from "here." I received this product at a discount/free in exchange for my honest & unbiased review. My opinions are always my own and are never influenced by the seller. I truly hope my thorough testing and review of this product has helped you come to a decision. Actually there were no patterns per second, but there was printed instructions for each piece of jewelry (if you can read it) and beautiful pictures of the finished pieces which I found useful. The problem with the printed instructions was that the writer was trying to get too much info into too small a space, so in many cases he/she left out the spaces between words. Also most patterns that I have found in bead magazines include illustrations of the various steps. I did get some good ideas from the beautiful pictures of the finished product. Since it was free I would recommend it to other bearers for inspiration.
